n(ud)e[w] shoot / n(ud)e[w] galleries coming soon

Sorry, i'm still impressed with my crazy wordplay: n(ud)e[w] n(ud)e[w] n(ud)e[w].

Anyway, a couple of taster photographs from a shoot i did yesterday. More coming soon in the form of online shoot galleries. Apart from all the crap i have on flickr at the moment all i have online is this shit (this blog) and my portfolios. I'm going to start working on something inbetween that. So coming soon will be a gallery that features photographs too important to be degraded by a blog but still not quite good enough to get into my online portfolios (which i try to keep short, sweet, to the point and featuring 3 photographs MAX from each shoot i do.

my first testimonial

"We received the CD yesterday and we're so pleased with the final
photos - they look amazing! The presentation case is a great touch.

We are really pleased we chose MDM Photography to capture our wedding day as we can't fault your service in any way. You were professional, punctual, polite and well dressed. You weren't afraid to get the 'action shots' and we were impressed by the way you didn't rely on a camera tripod - as SO many photographers seem to do at weddings! You managed to capture some really lovely 'ad-hoc' shots of our family and friends and we're truly grateful. You really did go above and beyond the standard 'wedding photographer'. Thank you both very much!

We'll definitely be recommending MDM Photography to anyone that needs a profesional photographer in the near future."

my favourite photographs not taken with my SLR

taken with a Nokia N95 of all cameras. Apparently it's a 5 megapixel sensor, i fail to see that but am very fond of these photos...

the gorgeous view from my gorgeous girlfriend's bathroom.

a sign in a shop window in East Street, Southampton.

i thought if i washed my hands in this sink they'd just become even dirtier so i took a photo instead .

i saw this in Asda one day and thought it was an urban supermarket phenomenon.
a dead mouse i had to remove from my girlfriends's kitchen.
sorry tipex.

My flat MaTe doesn't like the toilet seat being left up.

I have my old friend peter round for one weekend and he gets so off his tits i give up on socialising with him. Instead, i get my camera out and take photos of him when i think he’s not looking.

why people go to university

I just been pointed in the direction of this headline from the Independent by a friend :

independent

after a very brief google search I found many similar articles:

tbo.com

findarticles.com

People need to get with it? Are there really that many students complaining? If they are the answers are simple: The government have been making it more easy for anyone to afford to go to university, regardless of background and to a certain extent, level of education. Universities are just another business sector at the end of the day. That means they will introduce more and more ’simple’ courses to cater to the less academic so they can rake in more and more tuition fees. (which i think are around £3000 per head, a year currently, MINIMUM).

Inevitably, the more graduates there are running around, the less impressive a degree becomes!

The percentage of students that actually care however is probably quite low.

People go to university to move out of home effectively for free. And earn the valuable life experience that goes with living on your own.

University is the guaranteed 3 year holiday before you have to conform and get a job.

On the subject of social conforming: Many teenagers go to university for this exact reason. They don’t know any better; Its what every teenager does in England in the 21st century. Every kid from the upper working class right up through the rest of the classes do it.

While at university i did a lot of things that made the - £20′000 seem worthwhile. Some of them i can mention on here, some of them i can’t and hence i just wont mention any.
